Uncooked apple galette.
It showed promise and fulfilled it.

Summary: Today began with calisthenics, a beef pasture inspection with Padre, and writing. The lattermost activity lasted until about 9:20 AM when a Master Blend Customer arrived. He was a talkative fellow who wanted to do some website work and learn about beef sales. After making a small purchase, he left to seek more information from the Harbison farm market down the road. I next returned to Jacobhouse and wrote for another hour and then visited Padre in the studio as a couple potatoes baked for lunch. The midday meal occurred at about 12:45 PM.

(4:58 PM Update:) This afternoon began with more writing and a brief rest in the Jacobhouse high-bed. I next ventured outdoors where I met Jerry – our beef delivery man – and helped him unload twelve boxes into the freezer room. After putting those boxes away, I ventured outdoors to help with a little bit of farm activities, including: moving feed buckets, catching a couple bovines, checking the beef pasture for ailing creatures, and attempting to find young stock in the barn for vaccination. This was followed by a seltzer break with Padre and then by my returning indoors where I prepared a New York Strip for dinner*. Now I am writing this entry while waiting on a phone hold with the USDA.

Final Note: After the beef pasture check this evening, I plan on reverse-searing a 1.96 LB New York Strip for dinner. It shall be a delicious feast for Padre and myself.

*Patted it dry with paper towels, salted / peppered it, and got it cooling / drying in the refrigerator.
