(Above: Sevin-dusted tomatoes. Again, I do not enjoy the process of dusting, but I did manage to eat a berry-tomato today that lacked a ‘buggy’ flavor. Indeed, the dimutive fruit actually had a superb flavor. Thus, if the plants keep producing, Sevin-dusting will be worth it.)
Summary: Today began with calisthenic exercises, a beef pasture check, and tending to both gardens*. This was ensued by my returning indoors where I tended to some housekeeping tasks before engaging in writing-related activities for about 2.5 hours. At the end of that span, I prepared baking potatoes for lunch before heading over to the studio for a visit. Lunch was eaten at about 1:00 PM.
(5:28 PM Update:) This afternoon began with some meat preparation: salting a Master Blend New York Strip for Padre & I’s dinner and salting/sugaring four homegrown porkchops for tomorrow’s lunch. Afterward, I tended to some computer-chores, rested, and then wrote for 30 minutes. Farm-activities followed and included: salting/moving feed, checking calves in the pasture and barn, and fixing a couple pieces of fence with Padre. I returned to Jacobhouse after all this, and here I shall remain until it is time for the evening beef-herd inspection with Padre.
Final Note: Tonight, Padre and I are eating New York Strip, spring mix salad, and watermelon for dinner. The meal will also be accompanied by some Nero D’Avola. The meal is going to be terrific; I already know.

Great food tonight. I look forward to these posts too.
