(Above: Last night’s dinner – a bacon-mushroom pizza bearing sauce that was created from leftover bacon fat / honey / salt / pepper.)
Summary: Today began with calisthenics, IV’ing a calf, and performing a beef pasture check with Padre. This was ensued by my returning to Jacobhouse where I worked on writing until about 11:30 AM with very few interruptions. At that time, I placed potatoes into the oven for baking, engaged in some leisure, and visited Padre at the studio for about 50 minutes. Lunch occurred at about 1:05 PM and consisted of baked potatoes, salad, and watermelon.
(6:49 PM Update:) This afternoon started off with more writing, a brief rest, and some leisure within Jacobhouse. Next, I ventured outdoors to help with farm activities including: salting feed, moving feed-filled buckets, IV’ing a sick calf, catching / vaccinating a couple pregnant bovines, catching / removing a stick from a cow’s foot, hydrating a very sick Wagyu calf via subcutaneous fluids, and performing a final beef pasture inspection. Now that I am back at Jacobhouse, I have formed burger steaks for later and am presently finishing today’s entry.
Final Note: All I have left for today is: writing down some notes in regard to my project, consuming a delicious dinner (pictures tomorrow), and enjoying some leisure time.
