10/18/2020 – Sun-day.

10/18/2020

(Above: Dawn of 10/18/2020; there were no cows in the southeast pasture.)

Prepared for planting. Tomorrow morning, regardless of whether or not the arugula has arrived, I shall be planting some of my available seeds. As stated in the prior post, the bags will house most of the radishes.

Summary: Today began with calisthenics, piano practice, and a brief bout of writing. I next ventured outdoors where I proceeded to fold down the tops of yesterday’s bags before performing the day’s first beef pasture inspection with Padre. On returning to Jacobhouse, I tended to a  few house-neatening tasks and wrote for over 1.25 hours. Some PoA course review came next and then a visit to the Studio. Lunch occurred at 12:50 PM and consisted of baked potatoes, leftover chuck steak, and springmix salad.

(6:56 PM Update:) Afternoon activities were initiated with leisure, writing a minor portion of this entry, and working on this coming week’s PoA assignment. This was followed by cattle-related activities, including: moving feed-buckets, chasing a small herd of heifers up to the barn via Segway & flagging tape, helping vaccinate a couple of those heifers, breaking up feed with a pitchfork, and performing two beef pasture inspections. At the end of all this, I gave Padre a haircut and he returned the deed.

Final Note: Now that I am back within Jacobhouse, I intend to complete this entry as some bacon & egg sourdough bakes in the oven. I will likely place the eggs on the pizza about 5-7 minutes from the end, so they are not completely hard upon exiting the oven.
